Launching the Transformation Scan - Steering Transformations to Sustainable Results

Most company transformation initiatives fail.  Studies of several large consulting organizations and academic reviews show that dependent on the type of transformation, up to 70–90% never achieve their intended impact.

At the same time, economic uncertainty, competitive pressure, and rapid innovation leave companies no real choice.

As a result, the gap between companies that consistently make change work and those that don’t is widening fast – with very real consequences for performance, resilience, and relevance. We all know, under these circumstances, standing still is not an option.

Not a surprise that lots of companies wrapped up 2025 with a focus on getting results out of strategic transformation initiatives in 2026 and enforce required corrections to ongoing transformations.

Interestingly, most organizations are quite good at explaining why transformations fail. They are also reasonably aligned on what should be done.
